Nestlé is about to suck BC dry - for $2.25 per million litres to be exact

British Columbia will finally start charging companies like Nestlé for taking its groundwater and bottling it to sell at a profit. The problem is it will only be charging $2.25 per million litres.
Under this new pricing structure Nestlé and corporations like it will be able to buy up Canada's water for next to nothing. When over one hundred thousand people objected to Nestlé taking 285 million litres of Canada's water for free and selling it around the world, this wasn't the fix they had in mind.

At a time when water is in short supply globally, it is outrageous that Nestlé can draw limitless amounts of Canada's natural resources to sell for a huge profit. Nestlé's chairman says that "extremist" NGOs are responsible for the idea that water is a human right, and that water should have a market price -- apparently he thinks that the “market price" for him is $2.25.

This is a crime we cannot allow to go forward. Large corporations abusing our precious water resources. Please put a stop to this and rally support for legislation banning  bottled water. The city of San Francisco in the U.S.A. has already implemented a ban on the sale of bottled water on city property. Click on the link below to read more on this development. http://www.eagleindustriescorp.com/the-city-of-san-francisco-bans-the-sale-of-bottled-water-on-city-property/

Wise Water International and Eagle Water Treatment brings to light the importance of our water resource here in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.

Running taps, working toilets, and clean safe drinking water, they’re things people can take for granted here in the Hamilton area. Yet around the world, millions of poor people get sick or die each day because they must go without these necessities of life.According to the World Health Organization almost 900 million people in the world do not have access to clean, safe drinking water, while 2.6 billion live without basic sanitation. Across the globe, more than 6,000 people die each day from diseases caused by dirty water — two-thirds of those are children. What could be more crucial to life than clean purified water? The best way to protect our water here in Hamilton is to manage it by protecting both water and the land it flows through. By doing so, we can create healthy streams and healthy communities.

Here in the greater Hamilton area we depend on the Hamilton Conservation Authority to do their part by protecting our valuable natural resource which is water. According to a publication by the Hamilton Conservation Authority titled “Leading Conservation Forward” our water currently may be placed under severe stress. “As urban populations and industrialization have proliferated, the water cycle and its various components have been put under severe stress. This has created flood conditions where none existed before, and the discharge of pollutants has become a health threat to those who live downstream. These and related environmental problems can be overcome, but only if we consider the water resource in the context of all human activities within the drainage basins (watersheds) of our rivers and streams.”

As concerned citizens of our community it is important that we all do our part and it is time to call for a cleanup of our watershed areas including rivers and streams by picking up and cleaning up the numerous plastic bottles found in these areas. Litter found in our rivers and streams specifically from plastic water bottles has become a leading source of pollution in our environment. According to the World Health Organization over 50 billion plastic bottles are purchased each year, which is over 1500 per second. Those water bottles take a minimum of 450 years to begin to decompose in our environment. Even in its smallest form, plastic will never fully biodegrade. Over 17 million barrels of oil are used in producing bottled water each year, yet bottled water costs more than tap water. The energy wasted in producing and using plastic bottles in a year would be enough to power 36,000,000 homes.

As concerned corporate citizens we here at Wise Water International and Eagle Water Treatment Systems offer a simple solution to protecting our valuable water resource. We want to encourage our community to begin to eliminate their dependence on bottled water and begin to rely on tap water as a source of clean fresh water. We suggest improving the taste, smell and clarity of the tap water by installing a water filtration system in your home and business. This water filtration system will provide better than bottled water quality from tap water and help to protect our valuable water resource here in the Greater Hamilton area.

Eagle Water Treatment - Environmentally Responsible

Environmentally Responsible

Eagle Water Treatment Systems is one of Canada’s leading distributors of environmentally friendly water treatment systems. Using the EAGLE technology we are able to address problems including scale, salinity, iron and corrosion in residential, commercial, agricultural, industrial, and irrigation systems. Our technology is pollution free and produces no chemical contaminants thus reducing high energy costs.

The most recent estimates put 65% of plastic bottles purchased end up in landfill every year! Not to mention the carbon emissions used to transport the bottles. By drinking purified water from your water purification system you are helping the environment. By using a water filtration system you are not only helping the environment by reducing the disposal of plastic bottles, but you are also helping yourself. Water filtration systems are ideal for homes as well as businesses. They remove as many or more dangerous contaminants than the large-scale industrial purification methods out there.

An Eagle Water Treatment System is also very economical and reduces the cost of constantly purchasing bottled water. Although you need to replace your filter for your system every so often, if you added up the cost to replace these compared to how much and how often you actually buy bottled water you would probably be very shocked. Eagle Water filters are also more energy efficient since they use no more energy than is already required to propel the water through a home’s plumbing system. They can also circumvent many of the environmental problems that the bottled water industry causes. Purchasing a water filter can also help the environment by reducing the cost of recycling and cleaning up the mess from the improper disposal of bottles.

With many years of combined experience within our team, Wise Water International and Eagle Water Treatment Systems have the resources necessary to provide a premium experience within the water treatment industry. We specialize in water purification and water conditioning both for municipal and private water treatment needs. Our approach enables us to create customized water filter solutions ranging from commercial water treatment to all aspects of whole home and point of use drinking water filtration. We also offer a full-line of salt free water systems for the home and commercial applications. Please feel free to give us a call to set up your Free Water Evaluation. 1-844-306-8151.
